#57: I finally finished reading Thousand Splendid Suns last night and let me just say that I felt much better when I finished reading this book than I did after reading Kite Runner. There was some sort of closure at the end, like a happy ending, although the book is far from happy. However, I'd still recommend it to anyone who has the heart for reading it. I only say that because the other day when I went to the the dentist, my dentist saw that I was reading that book and asked if it was hard to read. At first I thought she meant the level of reading but soon realized that she meant emotionally. It was quite an emotionally tough book to read but it was worth it. It really helped to put some things in perspective for me.
